gdanianvault The whole album is a soothing adventurous experience indeed. I totally like the compressed background noises and strange ambience, especially in "A Buried Giant" - the track throws me back to the countless hours spent stranding through skyrim forests and mountains. Favorite track: A Buried Giant.

MarsDragoner So varied in terms of imaginative soundscape. From brewing peculiar alchemical compounds to journeying over boughs and through meadows. There is no shortage of adventure, be it magickal or not. The instruments sound versatile and wonderfully multifaceted. Favorite track: Decoction for a Ragged Spire.

sjöhäxan Satchel Bearer gives us a spellbinding glimpse into the life of a scholar and accidental adventurer through the classic voice of DIM with the addition of delicious textures and noise fitting for a foggy woodland backdrop. An album that is so easy to get lost into, and one that inspires wandering minds. Favorite track: Fundamentals of Dueling.

skyburials A wonderful and stunning iteration of the style of DIM. Satchel Bearer seems to have been taken back to the roots of what is quintessentially dungeon synth without the feeling of walking through molasses. Just the right amount of understated abstraction, and another gem in an often uninspiring genre. One of my favourite releases of the year. Favorite track: Decoction for a Ragged Spire.

blarg An enchanting escape to a place of magic. A perfect match to the weather outside the window and dreamy mood. I foresee this being listened on repeat as much as Steeped Sky, Stained Light, other favourite release of the year . ✨ Favorite track: The Swallow Sweeps.

An old soul wanders the forest floor, innocent of any true adventure, but consumed by a mere hut on a mountain slope overlooking vast meadows beneath. A home like that, such sweet content, a world within a world, fate crushing those others barred from entry.

A victim of the mirror of eternal verity, the old soul feeds upon its light and clarity, leaving all mortal limits behind, sojourning through Nature's veins, avoiding those voices of thunder dashing one from that dream.

In the ecstatic hour, the old soul is summoned for so small, yet so great a task: of finding the spirit's nobler moments, rare and high, ridding alien obtrusions, letting only the true order of the earth be prodded.

The old soul is merry with a vigor, pouring over tomes for time and time on end.
